Thirty-One Gifts!

Thermal lunch tote(dots) and a cooler that can hold two 2-Liter drinks! I had "Crooks" monogrammed on it for $6 extra through thirty-one. Next to that is a sandy swirl organizer and some coasters that I bought with "Crooks" on them also.
About 2 weeks I had a Thirty-One Gifts home party. It was so much fun with lots of people, food and drinks! They have lots of great gifts for your home, kids, and yourself. Me and one of my coworkers, Rachel, hosted this party together at my house. Because we were the hostesses, and our party bought $750 in items (go girls!), we got $70 in free merchandise and 20% off any 4 items. This was such a fun experience. If anyone is looking to have a home party, I would recommend a Thirty-One party. Rachel (my co-worker) and her cousin Cassie have just recently decided to become consultants for Thirty-One. So if you wanna have a great party check out their pages and book them for your party! Rachel Sasser or Cassie Stagner

This is my Beach Tote. I am IN LOVE with it! It is so spacious, cute, and the inside can be wiped out. So if anything spills or, of course, sand gets in there it wont be a problem to clean.

At the top is my skirt purse. It came in brown with one free skirt. Then my mom bought me the red one, and I purchased the other skirt, with the L, at the bottom. All you have to do is unsnap the metal snaps at the top of the purse, lift them up, and there are hooks underneath that attach your new skirt. So no more moving everything from one purse to the other. Just change the outside.

April Flowers bring May Showers?

Happy Spring!!! I just love this time of year. When the flowers are out, the grass is green, and the weather is perfect! (I know not everyone loves it because of allergies) I took advantage of the great weather and decided to plant some flowers. My mom came over, on my day off, and we planted these beauties! We were talking about how there is just something relaxing, and fun too, about planting flowers in the ground and into pretty pots. All of these pots are on our deck, except for the solid red one which is on the front of the house.

Its so nice to walk out onto the deck and see all the color that these flowers have put out there! I know most of them are pink but I just couldnt resist how vibrant the color was. The solid red pot out front has a twin on the other side of the stairs too. And of course, dont forget to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!

SUMO...Yum

Kevin and I went to Sumo this past Saturday (4/3/10) with Steve and Laura. I had only ever been to Sumo once before, but when I was there I didn't really savor the Japanese cuisine. So this time we went and I got the crab angels and some yummy delicious sushi rolls! Kevin, Steve, and Laura all got something that was going to be cooked on the hibachi grill in front of us. This is such a nice change to just a plain dinner out. They make it fun and entertaining too!
In the picture on the left, he had stacked up a pile of onions and put something in it to make it flame. It was pretty neat. The picture on the right, I don't remember what was on fire but the picture doesn't even show how big the flame really got. It was fun and we will definitely be going back.

My Little Lifesaver- and I don't mean the candy

This is "Lucky" a 7 week old mix breed puppy that was brought into our clinic, North Shelby County Animal Hospital, for a check up after being adopted from an unknown breeder. Upon our fecal exam, which we normally do with new puppies, we found an abundance of hookworms, roundworms, and coccidia. These are all intestinal parasites that puppies can pick up from their mother or outside. They are common to see on puppy fecal checks. The thing about Lucky is that he had more than the normal amount. These parasites were taking up most of his red blood cells, causing him to become anemic. Even his little nose, which should be pink with black spots, is actually a pale white with spots.
This is where my baby, Logan- a 4 year old lab mix, comes in. He donated blood to Lucky so that Lucky could grow up to be a healthy dog. He was perfect! He sat very still and didnt move a muscle while we used an 18ga needle to draw his blood. Im so proud of my little lifesaver. Of course he got extra treats and love. I Love my job!

Short & Sweet Beach Trip

This past weekend, we took a short little beach trip to Orange Beach. Kevin's parents have a house down there and so we went to spend the weekend. We were lucky enough to be able to take the boys (Logan and Wriggs) with us. Anywhere there is water and a toy to fetch, they're there! Besides going for fun and relaxation, we went so that Kevin could drive their new boat, "Special Kaye". My mom and I actually came up with that name and Tommy (my father-in-law) liked it so much that that became the boat's name. By the way, my mother in laws name is Kaye. =) Too cute right? I thought so. Also while we were there Kaye had gotten us tickets to go see Rascal Flatts and Darius Rutker. It was so much fun and a great concert!

Ok...So I'm New at this

Hello all! This is my first time blogging. I originally thought that I could never see myself being a "blogger". After following my friend's blogs and surfing around on the Internet, I'm getting more and more used to the idea. My girlfriends and I, because of our hectic schedules, don't get to see each other as much as we would like. So the idea was brought up to start blogging so that we could keep up with the fun, cute, and adorable things our kids, dogs, and husbands did! =). So I'm trying to figure out how everything works so that I can get into the world of blogging! I cant wait, it sounds like fun! Hope you all enjoy my blog and have a great day!
