Thanksgiving 2012!

Well, Thanksgiving 2012 went off without a hitch.  We went to my inlaws for lunch with the rest of the family.

The spread

Beautiful table scape by my MIL

My silly niece is sporting her goggles before lunch. 80).  I love her shirt!

Me and the Hubs.  I know he hates that I love to take pictures! ;)

Just sitting down to eat.  Note the bib.  ;)
My little man didn't disappoint when it came to sitting down to eat.  He had sweet potato casserole, ham, turkey, cranberry sauce, vvegetable casserole, and a puffed congealed salad affectionately called "green stuff."  Kevin's aunt makes it for herself and him because they are the only two that eat it.  Well make that 3 now because E loved it too!  Then for dessert he tried key lime pie.
We had to take a moment to have a mini family photo opp.  Just the 3 of us.

While we were all together we took a family photo that will most likely be the picture for my inlaws Christmas card.
The great company, good food, and all the hub bub was just too much for the little Sprout!  As soon as dessert was over he was out!  Sweet Angel!  What a busy and fun first Thanksgiving its been.

Easton at 10 Months

Well we are into double digits!  My little man is quickly closing the gap to the big 1!! Ahh!! (sorry mini freak out)

Weight: 17.5 pounds
Height: 27 3/4 inches
Diaper: Size 3
Clothes: 6-9 months and maybe a few 9-12

Here is what our little man has been up to lately:

-Well since the last post E is now "cruising" (walking while holding onto things)
- His favorite thing while we are in my bedroom is to crawl to the tub, pull up, and turn the water on and off, on and off, on and off! He thinks its so funny.
-His naps are a little longer now.  When he was 3 or 4 months old he would take 30-45 min naps every 2 hours.  Now he takes about two 2 hour naps. (sometimes)
-He is very ticklish everywhere
-His new love is The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!  He loves to watch the whole gang sing and dance.  Especially at the end when they do the "hot dog" dance.
-He can now put his paci in by himself.  He will crawl to go get it and turn it around and put it in his mouth.  So Smart!
-Loves his sippy cups.  Especially with the Apple/Carrot juice in it.  He did have some sweet tea the other day and really liked that!
-His words right now are dada, mama (sometimes), bye bye, and what I think is dog.  I think his first real words were bye bye though.
-He, now, mimics my fake cough! This is too cute!  The other day he was mimicking the dogs barking too.
-Has 3 1/2 teeth.  2 on the bottom, 1 on the top and another one on the top coming in.
-I have started to skip at bottle every now and then so that when it comes time to wean he will be ok with it.  So far he doesn't even notice that I have skipped it.  Especially now that he is eating 3 meals a day and a snack or two.
-Still my GREAT little eater and sleeper!
Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back baby boy! You bring so much joy to our lives! I cant believe you are 10 Months Old!!!

A Dog Day Afternoon

One day about a month ago I took E and the dogs to the "park" for playtime and mommy picture time.  The park, to the dogs, sometimes is just a large piece of land with a lake on it that is in our neighborhood.  I think that they both had alot of fun!

I Love this Trio!

It was so hard to get a picture of his looking at me because there was either grass to play in/eat or a dogs collar to jingle.  =)  I love these boys!

9 Month Check-up

Easton went for his 9 month check up on 11/7/12.  Now with his tubes in he is a happy, healthy, growing little sprout!  He is still on the smaller end for a boy right now.  But I think he will be catching up soon.  He still doesn't like Dr. McCown, and cries when he examines him, but at least he doesn't have to see him that often.

He loves his Wubbanub.  I just love that smile behind that paci! <3>

Really working on that tongue depressor.
Just waiting on the nurse to come in and do our shots.  While we wait he chewed on the tongue depressor that Dr M gave him.  He wouldn't dare play with it while hes in the room.
Stats:
Weight: 17 Pounds 2 ounces
Length: 27 3/4 inches
Head: 17 1/2 inches
Clothes: 6-9 months
Diapers: Size 3

Under Construction- Update

On today's updates there are ceiling tiles, and bathroom things.....a toilet and a sink!  The whole in the middle that is missing is for the ceiling fan fixture to be put in.

I really like the bathroom but I had my heart set on a vanity and not a pedestal sink.  I had the one I wanted picked out and it turns out it wouldn't fit. Boo!  Oh well, it turned out pretty good anyway.  Stay tuned for more updates...

Our First Halloween!

I was very excited about E's first Halloween (of course).  I decided not to go crazy with a costume because, since he isn't walking, we weren't going to be doing any trick or treating.  We decided it would be just as much fun to hang out on the porch and hand out candy.  I go his costume for $4 at Kids Market!! I was pretty proud of my purchase because it was perfect for what he was going to be doing.  Plus did I mention that he looked ADORABLE in it?!?!
Easton loved his costume!  As soon as he was in it, and I put the "hood" over his head, he started to laugh! I love this kid!

I loved that it had wings and everything!
Offering mommy some candy...

Oh and it also has the cutest little duck tail!
Me and my little duck had so much fun handing out candy.  That's one of my favorite things about Halloween is getting to see all the little kids in their costumes!  He wasn't bothered by any of the scary masks or herds of kids running at the door.  He just wanted to play in the candy bowl!  Next year will be our first year trick or treating.  I don't know who is more excited.....=0)

Easton at 9 Months

My little Spout continues to grow.... sigh... So here we are at 9 months!!!

Weight: 17 Pounds
Height: 27 3/4 inches
Diapers: Size 3
Clothes: 6-9 Months

My Man:
-Bumps his bottom up and down off the floor when he is listening to music and claps! TOO CUTE!
-Has started CRAWLING!! He keeps his left leg bent when we crawls.  I was worried about it at first but that is also the leg that he ends up sitting on when we wants to stop.  So I guess he is just staying one step ahead of himself to keep it bent.
-He is also pulling up on E.VER.Y. THING! He will just stand and only hold on with one hand. (the little dare devil =) )  It makes me a nervous wreck sometimes that he is so brave about it.
-Because of the fluid in his ears that wouldn't go away....he had tubes placed in both ears on October 17th.  Dr. M said that it would just continue to cause ear infections so long as that fluid stayed in the ear.  So tubes was our answer.  It was a very easy procedure and he was at home and playing by 11 am.  Amazing!
-Waves bye  bye sometimes.  It will be at random things and not necessarily when someone leaves.  I swear there are times when he actually says the words "bye bye!"  But we will see...
-Still a great sleeper!  He goes to bed about 8:30pm
-He has 2 new teeth coming in on the top.
-Eating is still very good for now.  He has 6-7 oz bottles 5 times a day.  He eats oatmeal, waffles, cheese toast, or whatever they are having at daycare for breakfast. (and loves it!)  Then for lunch he eats almost anything you will offer him.  He likes chili, salisbury steak, and most anything with turkey.  They serve such a wide variety at daycare (which is awesome) and he eats it all!  Then he has 1-2 snacks during the day.  We have started eating 3 meals a day now.  So now he gets another meal around 6:30pm or so.  My little man also loves all sorts of juices.
I am so proud of my little Spout. He makes us so happy! We Love you E! I cant believe you are 9 Months old!!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

Easton's first year has been very exciting!...Especially for me.  I love to think about all the things we get to do together and to be able to watch him discover all of these events for the first time!  In late October I took E to the pumpkin patch.  Kevin and I couldn't find a time, when he or I wasn't working, to go together so my mom and I took him instead.  She probably had more fun than Kevin would have had anyway...=)  We decided to go to The Pumpkin Patch at Shadow Lake.  It is done by Grace Life Baptist Church in McCalla.  They had so many activities to do, food to eat, games to play, and of course pumpkins!
Excited already and we haven't even gotten out of the stroller!

First stop....Photo op!

We ate straw....

Petted the goats and sheep in the petting zoo!
Easton wasn't even phased by the animals in the petting zoo.  I guess because he has 2 dogs that are bigger than most of them in the pin.  The funny thing was that when we arrived at the pumpkin patch E got a sticker to put on his shirt that says Jesus Loves Me.  I moved the sticker to his pants so that it wouldn't cover up his shirt in pictures...While we were petting 1 goat in particular, he found Easton's sticker and decided to eat it right off his pants leg!  Guess goats will eat anything!  I hate that too because I wanted to keep the sticker.
We pretended to be Scarecrows...

We rode the train.....

And of course we took our picture with the pumpkins!

Overall it was a wonderful day at the Pumpkin Patch!  E, Mom and I had to much fun!  Cant wait to do it all again next year!  Then he will be walking....
