18 Weeks

Now 18 weeks. Very hard to believe that I am almost half way through my pregnancy. That even sounds weird to hear. I THINK I have felt the baby kicking. I'm not positive though. Its so slight. I have bought a couple pieces of furniture for the baby's room. I bought a dresser that my mom and I will refinish and I bought a bookshelf that will have some modifications done to it but I cant decide what that may be. That is a blog post to come. As I am typing this we have just 2 days till we find out the sex of our little sweet potato! It will be the longest 2 days of my life I'm sure. Kevin is thinking that it is a girl. Me, I don't have much of an inkling. If I had to choose then I might say boy. Well one of us is right and I guess we will know Wednesday. =) Hope everyone is having a fabulous Labor Day!

Your baby's the size of a sweet potato!
She's about 5.6 inches long and about 6.7 ounces now and she keeps on growing rapidly. Can you believe she's yawning, hiccuping, sucking and swallowing?
And she's twisting, rolling, punching and kicking, too.

17 Weeks

Your baby's the size of an onion!
Baby's continues to beef up. Now she's about 5.1 inches long and weighs about 5.9 ounces.
Her rubbery cartilage is now turning to bone.
And she's growing some meat on those bones -- putting on some fat.
She's growing a stronger, thicker umbilical cord, too.

16 Weeks

16 Weeks (Month 4)! All is still going as good as it can in our neck of the woods. I had my 16 week check up on August 17th. The baby's heart rate was 145 bpm. The doctor said that everything is looking good and right on schedule. The exciting part is that she told me that we can come back at 19 weeks (instead of 20 to find out the sex, and have our next ultrasound). She told me that there was really not much difference one week would make. So, of course, I said sounds good to me! So on September 7th we will be finding out Pink or Blue for little baby Crooks! =) It cant get here soon enough.

Your baby's the size of an avocado!
Now, she's about 4.6 inches long and weighs about 3.5 ounces.
She's listening to your voice, thanks to tiny bones forming in her ears.
She's growing hair, lashes and eyebrows.
And she's forming taste buds.

15 Weeks

Your baby's the size of a navel orange!
The average fetus at 15 weeks weighs 2.5 ounces and measures 4 inches -- and his proportions are becoming even more normal, since his legs now outmeasure his arms.
