So lately Easton has been "talking" up a storm! I started writing some of them down. When we went for his 18 month check up last week Dr M asked if he was saying about 15-30 words? Wow, that seems like alot of words for a little guy....but he sure picks them up fast!
Here are some of them:
(first how he says them, and then the word he means)
"Baw"- Ball
"Dog"- Dog
"Pish"- Fish
"Awf"- Off
"Uh Oh"- Uh Oh
"AhhPane"- Airplane
"Tickle"- Tickle
"AhtSy"- Outside (he stands by the door and puts his hands in the air)
"AhTu"- Thank You
"DaDa"- DaDa
"MaMa"- MaMa
"Duce"- Juice
"Shoes"- Shoes
"Ah Bo"- Good Boy (he says this as he pets the dogs on the back)
"Wow"- Wow
"Wee"- Wee
"Bye Bye"- Bye Bye
"Hey"- Hey
"Ho"- Hello
"Hutsh"- Hush (says this to the dogs as he points his finger at them)
"No No"- No No
Animal Sounds He knows:
Cow
Horsey
Kitty Cat (Some of the time)
Dog
Monkey (Sometimes)

18 Month Check up
On July 9th, 2013 we went for Easton's 18 month Check up...
STATS:
Weight- 19 pounds 2 oz (<3rd>Height- 32 inches (50th %)
Head Circumference- 18 1/2 inches (35 %)
Clothes- 12-18 months
Shoes- 5 Wide (Ive been thinking that his feet were a 3 or 4 before I had them measured. Boy was I wrong. =)
Diapers- Size 33rd>
Doctor M checked Easton out and said he looks perfect! Easton didnt cry one bit! Im hoping that we have finally moved past the crying episodes when the doctor is in the room. =)
Upon looking at his weight, Dr M asked the usual questions about how well he eats and if he eats, because he said that most children gain 4-6 pounds from age 1 to 2. Easton has only gained 1 pound in 6 months! I eased Dr M's mind when I told him that E eats like a P.I.G.! He eats anything and everything and doesnt have much discretion when it comes to food! (which I love). He eats alot in one sitting too. And that he is very active. Dr. M told me about some of the children that he sees that have "failure to thrive." He said that those children look sickly and dont eat well and that Easton did NOT fit in that category at all! (whew, thats a load off my mind). Just to cover all the bases, he wanted to draw blood from him to check his organ function. Since they needed more than just a drop or two for this, they had to get it out of his arm. It was SO hard to sit there and watch him be poked for it. Because it wasnt just a quick shot and it was done, she had to wait for the tubes to fill up. Though Easton cried, it hurt me more than I think it hurt him. I had turned on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (Disney Jr app on my phone- MUST HAVE) and he semi watched it as they drew the blood. Such a tough man! I just love him!
Playing around while we waited for the nurse to draw the blood and give him his 1 shot. At least he only had to get one shot this day. I would have felt even worse if he had to have blood drawn and have 3 shots!
They called me the next day to tell me that all of his bloodwork came back normal!! YAY!! So im going to have a rough and tumble healthy little boy! After talking to my mom about it, she told me that when my dad was going off to college (before he got into power lifting) he weighed 110 pounds! This makes me feel better, becuase Im thinking E must have gotten some of his genes. (Of course biggness doesnt run in the family that much anyways!) =) So all in all it was a good visit!!

First Zoo Trip!
Kevin, Easton, and I packed up the car and headed to the beach for Kevin's birthday/vacation. While we were there, we decided to take a trip to the Gulf Coast Zoo! This would be Easton's first trip to the zoo. He is his Mother's son! He LOVED it!
They had these cute little wagons for kids to ride in through the zoo. Easton really liked this! (That is the only hat we brought so he HAD to wear it! I think ive finally come to the realization that I am fighting a losing battle....sigh.)
Since it was the middle of the week there wasnt a ton of people there! It was great. You could get so close to the animals.
He loved everything about everything, if that makes since. He loved watching the Capuchin Monkeys run around and wrestle with each other in their exhibit. He was laughing out loud.
I think he wanted to take this Donkey home with us! I probably wouldnt mind... I mean look how cute it is!!
Cuteness! These two...
The animals were soo close! I hardly had to zoom in at all for this picture of these beautiful Tigers!
E also liked to wave and say, "Hey!" to the animals that he could not touch. Let me just tell you, it was PRECIOUS!!
This was the pushiest Goat out of the herd. He reminded Kevin and I of our dog Logan. He was pushing other goats out of the way for the little morsels of food.
Easton and MiMi as we were leaving the zoo. It was very hot that day.
This is probably my favorite picture of the day. He was saying "Bye Bye" to the Tigers as we were leaving the zoo!
He had a ball, as you can tell. He was out before we got out of the parking lot. We all, especially Easton, had so much fun this day! Id say his first trip to the zoo was a major success!!

ADORABLE! |
Easton literally wanted to pet and touch every animal he could!

Mother's Day 2013
On Mother's Day 2013 we started off our day by heading to Church for a great message. Then we went out for lunch to Baha Burger (yum!).
I am SO beyond BLESSED to be a Mother to this little man! He fills my day with light and laughter and I couldnt ask for a more loving and caring boy! I love you so much Easton! You have turned my world upside down in the best way possible!
If your happy and you know it clap your hands....! |
This is what we made for our Grandmother's on Mother's Day. They are bouquets of flowers that Easton had a special "hand" in making! ;)
Happy Mother's Day to you and yours! I hope your day was wonderful too!

15 Month Check up
On May 7, 2013 we went for Big E's 15 month check up!
STATS:
Weight- 19 pounds 4 oz
Height- 30 inches
Head Circumference- 18 1/4 inches
My Little man is still on the small side.... But dont let that fool you because he is a handful! =)E did very well with Dr. M this time! He didnt cry at all, except for being extra wiggley when he was trying to look in his ears. He said Easton looked great!
I could just eat him up! Here he is marching throughout the exam room. We were waiting to get shots....(he probably wouldnt be marching around if he knew that.) He did so good though. Just a few tears and then all over. Once we get in the car he is sound asleep. Going to the doctor is exhausting!

Happy Easter Day 2013!
He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' LUKE 24:6-7
When Easton woke up I showed him his Easter bucket with all of his goodies.
He pulled out everything within a matter of minutes.
He kind of got the hang of picking up the eggs from the floor and placing them into his bucket. But after about 3 eggs, he was over it.
Upside down bucket! Note: the eggs in mid air! haha
Giving his new stuffed Easter duck a good hug.
We began this wonderful day visiting at the church that my brother- in-law and sister-in-law are a part of. It was nice spending Easter morning in church with family. After church we headed to Jeff and April's house for lunch and Easter egg hunting!
Cousins Jake and Easton
Caroline, Easton and Jake. Cousins. Caroline cracks me up! =)
MiMi and GDaddy with their grand kids! Love this picture!
Cute little man. Sneaking a peak at where the Easter eggs were being hidden??
Easton was so dirty from "hunting eggs." Since it was damp outside, his knees were filthy from falling down. But he was having so much fun!
First trip down a slide. Loved that too!

E loved jumping down the stairs with Daddy! |
This is another one of my favorite pictures!! I love seeing the kids running after the Easter eggs. They were so excited! E is just running to run (bc now he can). He didn't care about getting the eggs.
